    Department Overview

    Rakuten's IP Contents Business Department, in collaboration with Rakuten Group's 70+ services and Rakuten's ecosystem, leverages Rakuten's weapons such as "ability to sell products," "over 100 million customer data," and "network with various industries" to provide a wide variety of IP including both internal and external video content. We are working to develop a content IP business that includes distribution, merchandising, and other multifaceted development activities for various copyrighted works (IP), including internal and external videos.

    Position Details:

    The position will be in charge of product planning and production in the licensing business centered on Rakuten's proprietary IP.

    Specifically

    Planning and producing goods and events of Rakuten's original IPs (Shopping Panda, new IPs planned in the future, etc.) through negotiations with internal and external stakeholders.

    Manage the progress of the project, including the above.

    Planning events, developing original products, and selling to licensee companies to maximize the event.

    Mandatory Qualifications:

    At least 3 years of experience in merchandising or event-related work at a license-related company, or licensed merchandising-related work at a toy, stationery, or general merchandise manufacturer.

    Experience in merchandising planning, production management, marketing, etc. in the brand or royalty business will also be considered.

    Basic level of English proficiency

    Desired Qualifications:

    Experience in planning, production direction and distribution of character goods.

    High knowledge and interest in IP-related products and services such as manga and anime.

    Those who are confident in their ability to plan and realize plans, or those who wish to hone their skills.

    Those who are able to work on their own initiative and self-sufficiency.

    Those who like to take on challenges.
