    Amazon Japan Transportation is looking for a team manager who is responsible for controlling end-to-end supply chain logistics and improving that.

    We operate one of the largest e-commerce businesses in Japan.

    We strive to be" Earth's most customer-centric company" and we are building a fulfillment network which customers can shop with the fastest delivery when they want any goods they want.

    It is our foundation to provide customers with a wide selection and deliver products as promised, but the environment around the logistics and retail industry is changing day by day.

    Our supply chain logistics is becoming more complex every day under continuous growth of Amazon Japan, and the importance of end-to-end optimization is also increasing.

    A role of this team is to determine end-to-end capacity and flow-control strategies to aim for overall optimization through collaboration with all operation teams.

    At the same time, this team sets KPI and visualizes the current network based on data to accelerate operational decisions.

    This position leads the team, impacting on the company and end customers, and is responsible for human resource development.

    Key job responsibilities

    - データ分析により課題を特定し、システムとデータに基づいて課題を解決する計画の立案と実行
    - スケーラビリティのあるオペレーションプロセスを構築し、オペレーション効果・品質を数値に基づいて管理できる事
    - 全体最適を目指し、各オペレーションチームとの関係性を強化しながら説明責任を果たす事
    - チームメンバーの人材育成、採用を行いチームのディベロップメント


    1) End-to-Endの出荷能力(キャパシティ)管理プロセス構築:
    End-to-EndでのAmazon JPのオペレーションの出荷能力を制御するプロセス構築をシステムとデータに基づいて行います。具体的には、
    ・各ビジネスチームからの要件と制約を業務要件として定義
    ・アメリカおよびヨーロッパ、他諸国の事例の調査
    ・出荷能力の制御戦略の策定と関係各所との合意形成
    ・新規システムが必要な場合にはアメリカ、ヨーロッパ、インドの開発チームによる機能開発の交渉とサポート
    ・オペレーションプランと新システムによるプロセス立ち上げ
    ・プロセスを実行・管理するKPIおよびレポートの作成とサポート

    2) 出荷・配送管理システムに関する問い合わせ対応:

    出荷・配送管理システムの利用方法や仕様に関する問い合わせに対する対応を行います。またその一環として、定期的なユーザートレーニングや仕様書の作成などを行います。障害発生時には、ビジネス側の窓口として、障害の内容・影響を確認、開発チームへエスカレーションを行い、お客様への影響を最小限に抑える役割を持ちます。


    3) 全社的プロジェクトへの参画:
    出荷・配送管理システムの変更を含む全社的なプロジェクトにプロジェクトメンバーとして参加します。時にはプロジェクトを自分で提案したり、リードしたりすることもあります。関連するビジネスチームやオペレーションチームと共にビジネス面での要件をまとめ、開発チームと機能面での仕様について詳細を決めていきます。また、出荷・配送管理システムの変更箇所に対し、受け入れテストと導入支援を行います。

    このポジションは、ビジネスチーム・オペレーションチーム・開発チームとの折衝が求められます。従って、システムに関する知識と経験を持っており、関連部署との日本語・英語での調整(文章・会話)をバランスよく円滑に行える方を求めております。その中でも、物流に対する知識をお持ちの方や、ビジネス要件の策定からシステムによるプロセス構築までを一貫して担当されていた方を優遇いたします。
    また、ビジネス要件を正確に把握し、システムやデータに基づいた拡張容易性を持った形で導入していく支援を日常的に行います。従って、ビジネスチームとのコミュニケーションの中で本当のゴール・要件を把握する分析力、論理的思考力が必要となります。また、Amazonのネットワークは日常的に改善・強化し続けていますので、自発的・積極的に変化を受け入れ吸収することのできる柔軟性が求められます。

    • Identify challenges through data analysis, and develop/execute plans to improve it based on systems and data
    • Build scalable operation processes and manage the process impact/quality based on KPI and facts
    • Be accountable for overall optimization with strengthening relationships with each operation team
    • Develop team members and recruit new members

    1) Establishing an end-to-end capacity management process:

    This team builds a process to control end-to-end supply chain capacity of Amazon JP operations based on systems/technologies and data.

    Specifically,

    • Define requirements and constraints from each business team
    • Investigate use-cases and processes in America, Europe, and other countries
    • Formulates capacity control strategies and consent them with stakeholders
    • Negotiate and bring new technologies from development teams in the US, Europe, and India if the team identifies their necessities
    • Launch and manage capacity management processes with new systems and visualizations
    • Create KPIs and reports
    2) Troubleshooting inquiries about capacity management systems
    This team is responsible to handle inquiries and issues about capacity/flow management systems. Also, it provides regular user training and SOP documents as a part of that.

    When an issue occurs, it acts as a point of contact on a business side to confirm the details and impact and escalates it to the development team for minimizing the impact on customers.

    3) Participation in company-wide projects
    As a project member, this position will participate in company-wide projects. Sometimes this position proposes or leads projects themselves. This position will organize the business requirements with operations teams, and decide details of functional specifications with development teams. Also, this position will provide user-acceptance tests and implementation support for changes.

    This position is required a negotiation skill with business teams, operation teams and development teams. Therefore, we are looking for candidates who have knowledge and experience with technologies. Also, we are looking for candidates who can fluently communicate (writing & speaking) in Japanese and English.

    In addition to those qualifications, it's preferred those who have knowledge about logistics or/and those who have been in charge of end-to-end coordination from business requirement definition, system launches, and to business process establishments.

    Furthermore, this team provides supports for accurately understanding business requirements and introducing new processes based on a systems and data to achieve its expandability.

    It is necessary to have analytical and logical-thinking ability to shape real goals and requirements while communicating with stakeholders. Also, it's required to being flexible against changes because Amazon network is expanding and improving day-by-day.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and nontech teams experience
    • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
    • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
    • Experience managing teams of 3 or more
    • Bachelor's degree
    • At least 2 years of analytical experience using Excel (index/match, vlook, pivot, etc), Python or SQL
    • Businesslevel Japanese proficiency
    • Businesslevel English proficiency
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience owning program strategy and end to end delivery
    • Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
    • Knowledge of SQL at an intermediate level, including: compile queries, subqueries, aggregation/grouping, data modification, etc.
    • Communication skills to build closerelationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
    • Ability to learn new knowledge and skills at an early stage
    • Ability to analyze logically
    • Ability of troubleshooting and problemsolving proactively
    • Being positive about contributing to an inclusive culture and working in diverse groups
