Jack Ward

From an early age, I’ve always been drawn to the thrill of adventure and exploration. Travelling has been an absolute passion of mine, and it has opened up doors to new cultures, people and experiences that have broadened my horizons in ways I could have never imagined. My travels have allowed me to connect with people from all walks of life, and learn from their unique perspective and traditions. 

But it’s not just travel that gets my heart racing. As a lifelong athlete, I’ve been fortunate enough to excel in various sports, from track to football and Brazilian Jui Jitsu. There’s nothing quite like the rush of adrenaline that comes with competing at a high level, and the discipline and focus required to succeed in these sports have taught me invaluable lessons that I carry with me in all aspects of life.  

And when I’m not training or competing, you’ll find me hitting the slopes as a passionate skier. There is something truly magical about the combination of speed, control, and the breathtaking beauty of the mountain that keeps me coming back for more. 

While these activities have been my main hobbies, I’m an open book,  always eager to try something new and push myself outside of my comfort zone.

Assistant - Cambridge University Sports Centre

• Organized and managed sporting activities for a disabled sports group.

• Working within a team to set up / deconstruct sporting equipment.  

Lifeguard - Cambridge Aqua Park & Jesus Green Lido

• Monitored swimming pools, lakes, or other aquatic facilities to ensure safety of all patrons
• Conducted safety checks of equipment and facilities, identifying and addressing any hazards or potential safety issues
• Educated swimmers and other facility users about safety rules and regulations, responding to questions and concerns as needed
• Responded quickly and appropriately to emergencies, including performing rescue operations and administering first aid as needed
