    Senior Account Director, Japan

    Job Description

  • Obtaining profitable sales growth targets, meet or exceed revenue objectives.
  • Driving sales through effective customer and channel management.
  • Create and execute engagement strategies, solution selling methodologies, and value selling methodologies.
  • Curate and maintain an accurate opportunity pipeline, forecast, and material demand projection within Salesforce.
  • Promote Vecima products, solutions, and services to telecommunications firms and cable companies in Japan.
  • Provide executive sales representation for industry leading PON FTTH and DOCSIS HFC technologies and outside plant access network nodes for 10G-EPON, XGS-PON, and G-PON, R-PHY and R-MACPHY ecosystems.
  • Provide executive sales representation for portfolio of video streaming solutions including a leading CDN platform for QAM and IPTV and (SVTA) broadcast content.
  • Provide executive sales representation for consultant services and custom development services for Japanese customers, including but not limited to a locally developed & maintained back-office solution for IPTV and a monitoring solution for CMTS infrastructure.
  • Effectively communicate vision, plans, goals, objectives and resource requirements to international Canadian & US team members and local Japanese employees.
  • Hire, lead, develop, retain, and motivate capable, competent, and talented team members.
  • Lead, manage, and expand the Tokyo team of engineers and developers to execute on deliverables being led by the Japanese team for local customers purchasing custom applications or consultation services unique to the region.
  • Requirements

  • Must have a proven track record of selling telecommunication products and solutions (Broadband, Fiber-to-Home) to Service Providers and Critical Infrastructure verticals in Japan
  • Must have and maintain senior relationships with key decision-makers at Japanese telecommunications firms and cable companies.
  • Established industry contacts and strong rolodex of customers and in the broadband network industries.
  • Understanding of the telecom networking space.
  • Understanding of QAM and IP video delivery preferred.
  • 15+ years of sales experience with 7+ years' experience in a senior leadership.
  • Proven record of driving profitable sales growth over an extended period in a complex and fast-moving IT/Telecom B2B solution sales environment.
  • Experience in managing large Tier 1 accounts.
  • An understanding of major technology trends and initiatives around XGS-PON, 10G-EPON, R-PHY, IPTV relevant to customers
  • Ability to build strong and sustaining professional relationships at all levels (especially in CXOs) of a customer organization
  • Distributor/channel management and development experience
  • Proven strategic thinker and planner
  • Results focused team player, collaborative and inclusive
  • Customer focused with good listening skills and strong problem-solving mindset.
  • Experience with use of CRM platforms and sales performance metrics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in Japanese and English
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
  • High level of ethics and integrity.
