- Understand Amazon's financial services business in Japan and proactively provide regulatory compliance requirements to enable it to grow and better service our customers.
- Work with legal teams to understand applicable financial services regulations and regulatory risks associated with launching or changing products;
- Monitor regulatory change and provide technical guidance to the business on relevant regulatory issues that impact our compliance program, and assist where needed with implementation of regulatory developments;
- Assist with compliance reviews as part of the Compliance Monitoring Plan and provide enhancement, recommendations as required to the business;
- Assist in the daytoday activities of the Compliance Officer Team including required signoffs and approvals;
- Work with business leads to identify and collate relevant information to respond to requests for information from auditors and regulators in a timely manner.
- Fluent Japanese and English language skills required (written and spoken)
- 3+ years of compliance experience in an financial services firm, regulatory agency, consultancy, or law firm
- Operate independently and with minimal supervision;
- Strong organizational skills – must be multitasked oriented and able to balance pressure and deadlines with constantly changing priorities and enjoy working in a fast paced environment;
- Strong drive for execution and delivering results
- History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done
- Bachelor's Degree
- Payments or ecommerce background preferred

The Japan Compliance team is looking for a brilliant Compliance Manager with experience in the regulatory and AML compliance.
Experience with Japan Financial Services Agency (JFSA) regulations covering Prepaid Payment Instruments (Payment Services Act) is preferred.
The Compliance Manager will be responsible for providing regulatory advisory with subject matter expertise across lines of business offering gift cards among others.
The role holder will assist business units and compliance program teams in understanding the Japan compliance obligations required to launch products that meet the bar with respect to JFSA laws and regulations.
