    Position Overview

    The ideal candidate should have good communication and business analysis capability together with system development/enhancement capability. In addition to system setup, application development and technical support, the person would be involved in reviewing cross functional operation process to identify bottle neck of the entire process.

    Responsibilities

    This position is responsible, under the instruction of the team leader, for including but not limited to the following;

    Process Re-engineering and End User Computing

  • Analyzing the back office process with users and designing/developing new process. After the implementation, he/she have to maintain and update the process corresponding the business environment change.
  • For the reinsurance administration area, candidate needs to handle the actual transactions as OJT to understand the process and explore the enhancement points.
  • Business Analysis and Master Data Administration

  • Understanding and analyzing the reinsurance contract and load the information (parameters to calculate risk and premiums, limitation values of insurance contract, etc) into the main system.
  • Often involved in a drafting process of reinsurance contract and give advice to establish the proper administration process.
  • Setting up the risk/premium calculation

  • Creating risk and premium calculation sheet in Excel, or functions by PL/SQL. Often work with IT team in the head-office. Entry-level mathematical knowledges, such as sigma(Σ) notation, understanding graph, are required.
  • Setting up the data mapping

  • Analyzing data files from clients and map each columns to our main system's items using PL/SQL.
  • Other system supports

  • Data extraction from main system
  • Creating reports

  • Solution assist/provide
  • UAT support of main system
  • RPA (Power Automate Desktop)
  • Requirements

    Required Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience of business application engineer as designer, developer or tester in financial institution (insurance company)
  • At least 3 years of experience of end user computing support (direct support/communication to the end users is required)
  • Programming experience in Oracle PL/SQL. Other relevant and/or transferable skills such as .NET, C#, Java, T-SQL will also be considered
  • Skills and knowledge for Microsoft Excel/Access
  • Proficiency in Japanese is a must, and English would be a plus, as you will be able to work and communicate with international stakeholders effectively
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Senior System Administrator / System Administrator (JITEC)
  • Oracle Master Certificate
  • Power automate desktop
  • GitHub/AzureDevOps
  • Microsoft Office Specialist Certificate
  • Insurance knowledge
