    Your Team

    As a member of the Japan Business Development Team, you will be part of a team of seasoned solution consultants whose mission is to support the creation of new sales pipeline by learning and understanding the customer's business, to deliver customer value in digital transformation. The team delivers strong short- and long-term impact on the company's business goals. This position has strong interaction with Sales, Presales and Marketing, as well ask with global functions. You will report to the Vice President in charge of business development in Japan.

    Your Day-To-Day

    The focus of this role is our Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) solutions.

  • Work closely with Sales to identify key accounts for purposes of generating new pipeline and/or strategic opportunities.
  • Engage with C-level and high-level executives at key accounts to drive digital transformation initiatives using PTC technology.
  • Conduct value assessment engagements in key accounts, in coordination with Sales.
  • Develop, document and share materials for use by Business Development and Sales teams in customer engagements.
  • Collaborate with local and global PTC teams to ensure best practices, use cases, market information, etc. are shared and leveraged.
  • Achieve key performance indicators, including new pipeline, opportunity deal size, value engagements, etc.
  • Act as a thought leader for Digital Transformation in sales/marketing activities, conferences, seminars, industry events, etc.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful campaign execution; align with local go-to-market strategies.
  • Skills and knowledge most relevant to the job:

  • 10+ year of experience working for a software company in presales or business development or consulting roles for the manufacturing industry; or, expertise leading business transformation in a manufacturing company.
  • Domain expertise in Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) area.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and capability to learn new domains, with emphasis on self-learning and ability to pull knowledge from various sources.
  • Ability to think strategically and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to conduct research and produce new materials for use with customers.
  • Confidence in presenting ideas, solutions, and results in front of C-level executives.
  • Ability to prepare, deliver and present value assessment engagements with customers.
  • Ideally with work experience at a foreign-based company, with good English proficiency.
  • Basic Qualifications

  • Education: BA or BS Degree.
  • Languages: Native Japanese, Fluent English.
  • Proficiency in MS-Office tools.
