    Department Overview

    Rakuten's IP Contents Business Department, in cooperation with the Rakuten Group's 70+ services and the Rakuten ecosystem, leverages Rakuten's weapons such as its "ability to sell products," "over 100 million customer data," and "networks with various industries," to develop IP content business from various perspectives, including distribution and merchandising of internal and external videos and other copyrighted works (IP). The company is working to create a content IP business that will include distribution, merchandising, and other multifaceted development activities for a variety of IP assets, including videos produced by the Rakuten Group.

    This includes not only visual content produced by Rakuten Group, but also movies, TV series, and other visual content owned and managed by outside copyright holders.

    Position Details:

    As a candidate for Sales Manager of Rakuten's IP-related business, you will promote business by leveraging Rakuten's world-class sports assets as well as new assets that you have developed.

    Specifically, you will be responsible for

    Planning and proposal of sponsorship utilizing Rakuten's portrait rights and rights (sports-related and other contents) (communication with sponsors and rights holders)

    Developing new rights (rights) and business development using those rights.

    Planning, proposal and implementation of activation

    Sales of broadcasting rights (communication with broadcasters)

    Management of department members and business planning

    Mandatory Qualifications:

    At least 5 years of sales experience in the sports industry or events (entertainment, content, etc.)

    Management experience

    Basic level of English

    Native level of Japanese language skills

    Desired Qualifications:

    Industry experience in basketball and skateboarding

    Experience in large scale events related to sports

    Business level of English
