- A successful track record in a company secretarial or corporate governance role (previous working experience from a financial institution is an advantage)
- In-depth knowledge of Japanese company compliance, statutory, and regulatory requirements essential as well as experience as a named company secretary on multiple entities (knowledge and experience of Korean company secretarial matter is an advantage)
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently and accurately together with excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
- Fluency in written and oral English & Japanese is a must (Korean language skill is also an advantage)

The Governance team is responsible for providing company secretarial and corporate governance support to entities within Macquarie's global consolidated group and is part of Macquarie's Legal and Governance support group.

What role will you play?
Working in this highly visible and varied role, you will be a point of escalation for our local stakeholders and provide key advisory support to senior directors, business groups and support divisions on all aspects of corporate governance, company secretarial practice, company law and internal policies. You will be responsible for a portfolio of Japanese & Korean entities and your responsibilities may also extend to other global policies, process improvements, subsidiary board practices and innovation projects.
