Why We Hire
The CIO Office is seeking a Business Analyst/Operations Specialist to join the growing team. We are looking for someone with a balance of IT and administrative experience that will support a wide range of activities within the Technology Division and throughout Rakuten, and is able to work directly with C-level executives. The ideal candidate will be process oriented, customer focused, and highly analytical. They will be able to effectively gather information, analyze requirements, and report recommendations. The candidate should have experience in some of the following areas: business analysis, strategy, planning, optimization, requirements gathering/analysis, data analysis, project management, program management, operation support, KPI tracking, event organization, stakeholder engagement and meeting facilitation, and feel comfortable with public speaking.
Position Details
Business Analysis
Conduct Requirements Workshops and collect information from stakeholders
Analyze requirements to maximize clarity and completeness
Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks
Prepare a business case to document requirements and propose solutions
Promote & facilitate stakeholder engagement & cooperation
Manage large amounts of data and maintain/create reports
Operation Support
Organize and facilitate a wide range of executive meetings and events
Document event management processes
Analyze and implement process improvements
Support horizontal strategic operations
-Track and report KPIs
Investigations
Interface with stakeholders from other departments and investigate pain points and opportunities
Collect information from multiple sources and consolidate into a single report
Lead change management initiatives
Interact with members from diverse backgrounds and cultures

Mandatory Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in any field
Experience in global and Japanese companies
English: Native or bilingual proficiency
Japanese: Basic working proficiency
Desired Qualifications:
Database management (SQL, Domo or other tools)
Program management
Project management
Product management
OKR management
Knowledge of optimization frameworks (e.g. QCC, Six Sigma)
Bilingual proficiency in both English & Japanese
