    Responsibilities

    The postdoctoral scholars will work together and in cooperation with Bill to engage in creative, curiosity-driven research in quantum science and technology-related areas at OIST. They are expected to pursue to engage in creative, curiosity-driven research, and are encouraged to develop their own independent interests, as well as collaborate with existing group members and the quantum ecosystem at OIST, as well as external collaborators. In addition, all unit members are expected to support the training and mentorship of students and other unit staff. Staff scientists are expected to pursue their own research agenda with a high level of independence.

    Qualifications

    (Required)

    We are seeking candidates with excellent post-graduate academic background in theoretical or computational quantum information science and technology or a closely related field, with research experience in a topic of relevance to the role. Candidates must have a PhD at the time of commencing the position. Ideal candidates will be curious, creative, highly motivated and able to work independently. They will also have good communication and interpersonal skills. The Quantum Engineering and Design Unit fosters a respectful, constructive and inclusive working culture and environment.
