    About the Role

    The product marketing manager is responsible for both product planning and product marketing. Person for this position will be in charge of consumer audio products especially home audio including soundbars and luxury audio, or related products with various brand such as JBL and Harman/Kardon etc. He/she helps to sell products through retailers like Yodobashi, BIC and Amazon by implementing products marketing includes GTM planning, negotiation with HQ, localization of necessary contents, initial demand planning, product deck / sales tools ad collaterals to deploy new products with close relationship with Sales team, Marketing team, Customer care team, and Supply chain management team.

    What You Will Do

  • Take initiative and define product strategy, product roadmap, and pricing in Japan.
  • Plan and execute new product launches such as advertising campaigns with third parties, collection and analysis of market research data, initial demand forecast, sales and dealer training, product presentation and demonstration etc.
  • Take responsibility for new product localization such including Japanese translation on product packages or owners' manuals, PL responsibility, etc.
  • Work with global team members in each responsible product category in Harman
  • Work closely with sales team and supply chain management team to realize the successful new product launch.
  • Collaborate with professional audio and automotive marketing team across the division to maximize the brand awareness in Japan.
  • What You Need

  • 5+ years of experience in the consumer audio/visual products
  • Minimum 3 years experiences as a product manager or product marketing manager; has a broad knowledge of product marketing and understanding of procedures
  • Basic business level English speaking & writing skill to communicate effectively with head office in other regions.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Has a good sense of teamwork; ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create results driven, team-oriented environment
  • The ability to clearly and concisely communicate is essential for this role
  • Problem Solving: Ability to pay attention to detail in making evaluative judgments based on the analysis of factual information.
  • What is Nice to Have

  • 5+ years of experience as a product manager or product marketing in audio industry
  • Product presentation and demonstration skill
  • Technical knowledges in electric circuitry and software
  • Sales experience with Japanese CE retail stores or audio specialist stores
  • What Makes You Eligible
