    As a Range Operations Specialist, you'll bring your technical background to collaborate with leaders in Range and Training Area Management on projects for Joint and Bilateral training.You'll use your skills as you analyze, assess, and communicate critical, real-time information for the DoD and Host Nation training.

    You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience with real-time operational and administrative access into and out of the airspace and range areas, ensuring the safety of participants and non-participants
  • 3+ years of experience coordinating directly with operations and air traffic control to provide mission scheduling and data collection, oversight of range regulations, de-confliction of aviation, surface, subsurface, and land missions, and assisting aircraft under its jurisdiction to remain within the assigned airspace for military and civilian missions
  • 3+ years of experience working with the government on real-time analysis of issues with Airspace and Range Management and cognizant outside agencies in compliance with DoD Special Use Airspace (SUA) management policies
  • Ability to de-conflict changes to the schedule with users and other agencies
  • Ability to enter mission information in the Data Collection and Scheduling Tool (DCAST) and scheduling, reporting, and notification systems
  • Ability to manage administrative fire desk duties using DCAST, Excel, status boards, and hard copy logs
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Nice If You Have:

  • Knowledge of military training operations, including ordnance, weapon delivery profiles, weapon systems, and military tactics and procedures with a focus on large-scale joint and bilateral military exercises
  • Ability to support range schedules, monitor and control access of personnel, surface vehicle, maritime vessel, and aircraft activities within training areas
  • Ability to coordinate real-time authorized check-in and outuse of training areas, maneuver areas, special use airspace, and water space, including surface and subsurface
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Clearance:

    Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,300.00 to $137, annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
