    Job Description:

    JOB PURPOSE - Under general supervision, coordinate and safely completes the duties of production, shipping, receiving, preventative maintenance and improvement teams. Specific duties include slurry batch making, quality testing, packaging, computer entry and various other production/warehousing activities. In the absence of the Production and/or supervisor, coordinate all shift activities to safely execute production/shipping/receiving schedule.

    Primary Responsibilities (The job's primary activities/responsibilities. Estimate % of time for each activity.)

    • Lead all shift activities (i.e. manage all shift resources) in the absence of the Production and/or Warehouse supervisor.
    • Promote teamwork among all shift associates and between shifts.
    • Ensure precise communication of all problems to Production and/or Warehouse supervisor, Operations Associates and others as needed.
    • Advice to Production and/or Warehouse supervisor in performance assessment of Operations Associates on their shifts.
    • Be a role model and advocate for CMC values.
    • Produce, package and prepare CMC products for shipment.
    • Receive raw material and containers
    • Perform required data entry and record keeping
    • Perform required quality testing and inspections
    • Maintain safe and clean working environment
    • Immediately address any deviation to CMC values, procedures, policies, etc.

    Processes are routine but diverse with moderate complexity.

    Primary responsibilities estimated to be 80% of total.

    SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES (The job's key activities/responsibilities, including working conditions or requirements. Estimate % of time for each activity.)

    • Develop and implement continuous improvement ideas.
    • Lead plant safety initiatives.
    • Perform miscellaneous production and warehouse related tasks (for example, cycle count, preventive maintenance, housekeeping, inventory, incident investigation)
    • Develop leadership skills through training and practice.

    Key responsibilities estimated to be 20% of total.

    III. Minimum (Must Have) Requirements (skills/level of knowledge and education/experience):

    • Technical – Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and materials handling.
    • Behavioral – Self-directed, ability to work with limited supervision, strong written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated leadership ability and team building skills.
    • Computer - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Lotus Notes; experienced in Oracle systems data entry.
    • Education – High diploma or GED
    • Experience (specify years and kinds of experience) – 1 to 3 years of production or warehousing experience in a manufacturing environment. Leadership experience required as Kaizen activities.

    IV. Preferred (Not Must Have) Requirements (skills/level of knowledge and education/experience):

    • Technical – Equipment maintenance, Knowledge of Basic statistical.
    • Behavioral – Flexibility to learn new skills and accept new responsibilities.
    • Education – Associate Degree in a technical field or equivalent.
    • Experience (specify years and kinds of experience) – 1 to 3 years in a chemical manufacturing plant

    V. INTERNAL BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS:

    • Reports directly to Production and/or Warehouse Supervisor
    • Ability to develop and utilize relationships with shift team members and other internal CMC support personnel.

    VI. OTHER:

    • Ability to work flexible work hours, including overtime assignments.
    • Occasional business travel may be required.
