    GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION

    Reporting to the Associate Director of Marketing Asia, this position is responsible for activating new product launches, Vertical business development programs and other Business Units' (BU) driven Marketing initiatives, owning the regional view of the global product portfolio. In addition the position is also responsible for the execution of the messages and media we deploy to communicate with our markets. This includes advertising, direct marketing, our online presence, printed materials, PR activities, sales presentations, sponsorships and trade show development and execution.

    A primarily responsibility is supporting the launch of Ansell with focus distributors and e-Commerce in Japan. A robust launch and on-going Marketing & Promotional Program will be critical for generating awareness and "pull" for Ansell products amongst these distributors' customer bases.

    The incumbent works closely with the Industrial and Single Use PPM teams to coordinate the regional execution of product portfolio management initiatives including new product launches, pricing, product changes, rationalization and other product promotional activities. In addition, the incumbent works with the BU Vertical Business Development teams to activate vertical business development initiative.

    The position also provides regional input into BU product and vertical initiatives in the development phase and as such is expected to have a thorough understanding of the respective market segment(s), product portfolios, customer needs, competitive environment and key business/market trends within the region.

    The position will also be responsible for campaign execution and guidance on optimization for the Japanese market. This including translation and proofreading to local material.

    Within Ansell, the primary interface will be with the line manager; however the incumbent will also work closely with the BU PPM teams to coordinate all related launch initiatives.

    This position is based in the Ansell Tokyo office.

    RESPONSIBILITIES & SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Works with Sales on Distributor Activation. Responsible for distributor participation in campaigns and other marketing initiatives as well as distributor creative services and image support. Works with Sales on all partner distributor projects requiring marketing communications (catalog reprints, online updates, etc.) as needed.
  • Main point of contact between distributors & Ansell on Marketing & Promotion program in both markets
  • Responsible for campaign execution and guidance on optimization for both markets
  • Coordinate product information including images, technical specs, etc
  • Translation and proof reading for all Japanese language collateral
  • Coordination/translation of promotional flyers or information to be featured on distributor websites
  • Supporting training activities for distributors' sales force
  • Launching of new NPDs with all Japanese Distributors
  • Japanese website content management
  • Manages outside agencies, companies and budgets. Is the main point of contact, responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with approved Ansell agencies. Coordinates inquiries, requests, creative direction, quotes and agency reviews. Audits the agencies as needed.
  • Drives trade show and event coordination including advertising, brand guidelines, exposure before and during the show, installation, and overall operation of Ansell's exhibit properties.

  • KEY POSITION REQUIREMENTS

    Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Languages

  • A Japanese native and fluency in business Japanese and English, above TOEIC 750 or lived/studied abroad
  • Job Experience

    ·Ideally 8+ years of experience in the development and management of marketing projects in Japan in the PPE industry, or B2B environment

  • Experience in regional marketing in MNCs or a matrix organization is a strong advantage.
  • ·Digital marketing technology literacy, including a high degree of competency with marketing automation, e-Commerce and CRM applications.
