    Position Overview:

    We are looking to recruit an HR Business Partner who will provide HR consultation and thought leadership to the Global Development & Innovation (GDI) team in Asia Pacific (APAC).

    This role works closely with the leaders and is responsible for leading, in partnership with the CoEs, the communication, socialization and implementation of global and local HR strategies & initiatives; encompassing areas of talent management & development, organization design & effectiveness, culture shaping, performance management & rewards, that accelerate the achievement of short- & long-term business plans.

    The GDI team in APAC gathers two R&D centers in Shanghai and Tokyo in addition of the satellite laboratories located in India & Singapore. The APAC R&D HR Business Partner is a key member of the GDI APAC Leadership team and will be directly supporting the Tokyo R&D center. This role would report to the Global Development & Innovation HR Business Partner

    Key Responsibilities

    Human resources management, talent acquisition & development, employee relations, compensation & benefits

    • Design and demonstrate integrated people strategies based on a holistic understanding of our diverse workforce, enabling the attraction, development, and retention of top talent.
    • Support deployment of global HR initiatives and programs.
    • Responsible for partnering with COEs and Integrated Services in the areas of Talent and Development, Employee Relations, Compensation, Diversity, and Employee Engagement.
    • Collaborates with the wider GDI organization, other parts of the system (Bottling Partners, OUs, Platform services...) on system capability development, talent exchange programs.

    Culture & Engagement and employee experience

    • Stewards the Company culture by recognizing, articulating, and shaping the need for change; drives organizational norms and values, through HR initiatives and partners with business leaders to build sustainable engagement. Proactively feels the engagement / pulse of the organization and actively engages the leadership into action
    • Takes accountability for HR services delivery across client group(s) to drive a high quality Associate Experience.
    • Role Models Leadership and Growth Behaviors and enables peers, teams and clients to do so

    Business & organization:

    • Acts as a coach and trusted business advisor for leaders and teams in the areas of leadership, organization effectiveness, HR and broader business issues.
    • Partners with leaders on organization design and team dynamics. Understand the overall organizational structure and make recommendations as business needs continue to evolve.
    • Builds and maintain professional external network to stay abreast of trend changes in all aspects of HR. Ability to translate external business trends into internal organization actions. Ability to understand the general business conditions (e.g., social, technological, economic, political, environmental, and demographic trends) that affect our industry.

    Role Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree Required
    • Language: native/fluent in Japanese, advanced/professional level in English
    • 3 to 5 years of strong previous HR work experience, preferably as a HR generalist in a matrix environment
    • Superb communication skills (written, verbal and listening)
    • Travel of 25 – 30%
