バイヤーは、各商品カテゴリーのバイイングチームを率います。この中には、価格及び取引条件を見極め、計画を立て、交渉に臨むことが含まれます。また、新商品、コンセプト、番組、アソートメントを実行しつつ、その販売機会の最大化を行います。社内外の関係部門と連携してブランド及びオリジナルブランドを開発し、それらがシーズンに合ったアソートメントとなり成長する方策も行う。
