    Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of the division's strategy.
  • Promote collaboration with headquarters, branches, product offices, other divisions and partner banks.
  • Work in partnership with colleagues in various divisions to coordinate and collate relevant materials to support in developing business strategies
  • Work in partnership with head office to promote business initiatives across APAC region.
  • Develop and maintain strong stakeholder management with key stakeholders both with MUFG and externally.
  • Work in partnership with Product Offices to seek product information to build report on business establishment, expansion and reorganization feasibility.
  • Work in partnership with Relationship Managers to promote strategic proposal, and support presenting to customers on general business practice and insights.
  • Support, coach and guide team on complex issues
  • Understand customer's business requirements and prepare a various presentation materials and reports.
  • Review and provide input into start up related business initiatives and promotion material pitching for customers prepared by the team.
  • Liaise with external consultants and the respective countries' investment promotion board and internal departments (Compliance, Legal) for updates on local regulatory requirements in relation to business establishment in the country.
  • Work in partnership with internal and external Subject Matter Experts to analyse business trends pertaining to M&A, JV, start-ups, ESG assess the impact and communicate changes to Head Office and Relationship Managers in a timely manner.
  • Work in partnership with internal and external Subject Matter Experts to prepare and share updates on economic performances of country, sector, analysis of important events e.g. investment policy, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and limits.
  • Maintain good working knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations.
  • Adhere to all company policies as well as guidelines
  • Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years of relationship management experience in the corporate banking / M&A / Consulting / financial institutions industry
  • Minimum JLPT N1 Certification, Degree in Japanese university or equivalent is required to manage relationship with Japanese clients and head office based in Tokyo to promote business initiatives across APAC region
  • Experience in covering Banking products and services.
  • Strong understanding of local/regional financial laws and regulations.
  • Experience in regional markets would be an added advantage
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to influence others using data or analysis to support line of reasoning
