Rapyuta Robotics is seeking young, talented, and ambitious individuals with a can-do attitude to help revolutionize robotics. We're creating a whole new generation of multi-agent aerial- and ground-based mobile robotic platforms with access to an inexhaustible supply of data and processing capabilities, that is the Cloud. Our units will be capable of working autonomously and collaboratively, learning from their own collective experiences and continuously improving upon themselves.

Key tasks:

• Design electrical system architecture and PCBs to enable various robot operations and functions
• Modify and improve existing hardware for feature addition and cost reduction.
• Debug problems that may arise on the hardware when integrated in a larger system, create fix/workarounds for said problems.
• Take responsibility from prototype stage all the way to production
• Board-level and system-level assembly, including: PCB rework, good mechanical skills, ability to read schematics and build prototype electrical/electronic circuits
• Work with internal and external contributors, plan, organize, and conduct projects involving the evaluation, fabrication, modification, and design of electronic systems at the board level

Requirements

Minimum qualifications:

• B.Sc. and/or M.Sc. (preferred) in Electrical, Computer, or Control Systems engineering with 3+ years of prior experience designing electronic systems in the automotive, aerospace, and/or mobile medical devices industry
• Proven design and development experience in analog and digital circuits, including embedded processors, microcontrollers, mixed signal, data acquisition, low power, mobile/portable electronics
• Familiarity with power electronics concepts, including design and operation of power supplies, motor drives and battery management systems.
• Proficient with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, soldering irons, and other common electrical engineering tools used during PCBA testing and measurement
• Experience with embedded system/microcontroller concepts, including: GPIOs, PWM, ADCs, DACs, and serial data interfaces (I2C, UART, SPI, CAN, etc.)
• Experience with schematic capture and layout tools, e.g. KICAD, Altium Designer, Protel, OrCAD, etc.
• Experience on both board level design and system level design
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Japanese proficiency
• Basic English skill

Preferred qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Familiarity with manufacturing operations on production lines and supply chain management
• Familiarity with relevant standards and regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO, UL, CSA, etc.)
• Embedded software development experience using open source tools

■ロボット動作をサポートする電気システムやPCBの設計
■既存ハードウェアの機能追加やコスト削減のための改善
■システム内でのハードウェア問題の解決や修正方法の提案
■社内外のステークホルダーと協力し、電気電子システムの設計・評価・修正・製造を含むプロジェクトの企画・実施
■プロトタイプ段階から生産まで製品開発のリード
■大容量バッテリーマネージメントとモーター制御のリード
■ボードレベルおよびシステムレベルの組み立て
※表面実装、優れた機械的スキル、回路図を読む能力、電気・電子回路の試作品を作る能力を含む

【必須(MUST)】

■電気工学、コンピュータ工学、または制御システム工学の学士号取得
■大容量バッテリーマネージメントとモーター制御の経験
■モーター選定、熱解析などの基本的な機械知識
■PCBレベル設計とシステムレベル設計の両方の経験
■表面実装のはんだ付け技術に精通している
■電気電子システムの設計経験(3年以上)
※自動車、航空宇宙、または携帯医療機器業界

■アナログ・デジタル回路の設計・開発経験
※組込みプロセッサ、マイクロコントローラ、ミックスドシグナル、
データ収集、低消費電力、モバイル・ポータブルエレクトロニクスなど
■PCBAのテストや測定に使用される一般的な電気工学ツールの知識・経験
※オシロスコープ、ロジックアナライザ、マルチメータ、はんだごてなど

■組み込みシステム・マイコンに関する経験
※GPIO、PWM、ADC、DAC、およびシリアルデータインターフェース(I2C、UART、SPI、CANなど)を含む
■回路図作成・レイアウトツールの使用経験
※Altium Designer、Protel、OrCADなど
■日常会話レベルの英語力
■ビジネスレベル以上の日本語力
※ベンダーとの交渉等を一人で実行できる程度
