- Inspecting deliveries to ensure they match order and shipping criteria
- Shipping and signing for deliveries
- Processing returns for incorrect or unsatisfactory items
- Updating inventory data with shipping items
- Accurately package, label and weigh items to be shipped and ensure proper shipment method and shipping charges
- Prepare detailed and accurate invoices to accompany shipments and ensure all items are packaged and shipped to company standards
- Communicating with vendors/suppliers/AVR regarding delays or problems
- Maintaining records of orders, delivery details, etc.
- Constantly seek and implement improvements to current processes
- Ensure all tasks are kept up to date within Oracle and other WMS.
- Provide feedback to the vendor staff working in the warehouse/ fulfillment center on any issues and concerns for them to resolve and meet our expectations
- Keep management aware of product shortages and maintain accurate information/ data
- Highlight any risks and/or challenges in SC operations in a timely manner
- Build and maintain cooperative, productive, and positive relationship with SC colleagues, other teams such as Operations, IT, Finance, etc., and internal and external stakeholders
- Previous warehouse experience
- Minimum of one year experience working in a fast paced manufacturing environment
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Team player; develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with colleagues and vendor staff

Kindly be informed that this position often entails visiting and working at the Shinmisato warehouse, located at 480-1 Nizo, Misato-shi, Saitama, Japan. It is a 15-minute walk from Shin-Misato station.
Job Purpose
This position is responsible for Shipping in Japan, including accepting and processing deliveries, verifying delivered items, and updating and providing accurate records of inventory, while ensuring items are routed correctly, and processing returns, ensuring that all daily tasks/ SLA's are completed on time and to the required standard for a range of Assurant clients and problems/ discrepancies are promptly resolved. Also responsible for daily operation control and management of facility process, including organizing facility vendor staff.
