Hannah Turner

Hello! My name is Hannah and I am a qualified primary teacher from the UK looking for work at a kindergarten or elementary school. I have a master's degree in English and over 5 years of experience as a teacher, two of which are international. I currently live in Japan with my husband, Lloyd who is also a primary school teacher.

I have worked with children in many different capacities. Most recently, I am working as a grade 3 homeroom teacher in Japan at an international bilingual school. I have also worked as a class teacher of year 5 (age 9-10) and reception (age 4-5) a teaching assistance with ages 6-8, an intervention specialist with ages 4-11, a play worker with ages 4-14 and as a social family support worker (ages 4-16). I have spent around 4 years working in schools, specifically and have had training in positive handling and supporting children with ALN such as Dyslexia, speech and language delays, ADHD and Autism. I love to bring inquiry-based learning into my classroom and encourage curiosity and a willingness to make and learn from mistakes!

I hold a PGCE Primary degree which gives me Qualified Teacher Status from the UK. I also have a master's degree in English literature and a TEFL qualification.
