Esteban Morales

Chemical Engineer graduated from Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Bogotá with 6 years of teaching experience, and CELTA certified teacher. I have skills and knowledge essential to apply in education, project development and development of curricula for STEM subjects and teaching English as a second language. I am fluent in English and Spanish, and have a conversational level for Japanese and German.

I have six years of experience teaching STEM subjects in middle and highschool, especially mathematics, physics and chemistry. In the first two years I was able to work with students with different educational needs, including people with down syndrome and autism spectrum disorder, designing special curriculum for them in chemistry, and physics. After this experience I started working at an IB school in Bogotá, Colombia. For four years I could learn about MYP and DP Mathematics Education, as I covered tasks such as curriculum development, lesson planning, design of project-based learning activities, analyzing the MYP E-Assessment, creating assessment, working with peers, developing strategies to improve learning, and developing the IB philosophy with the school community.

I am a chemical engineer and certified CELTA teacher. I was part of a Teacher Training Program in Naruto University of Education where I researched about using video games to teach mathematics. I am currently developing a game for Hiroshima University that looks to help students learn how to do basic mathematics operations.
